Decanter.com – 95 pts – GH: *Smooth and supple, a nice energy and focus to this, clean and clear with a lovely purity and finesse. Lots of red berry fruit, just ripe, almost on the tangy sour side but stays in the right place, giving a good, wide mouthful without feeling too heavy or dense or pushed. Clear and racy with nicely gripping tannins and lots of fresh mint, menthol and wet stone on the finish. Tension, focus and drive, I'd like to see how this evolves. Excellent potential.* - 12/2023

Elegant but restrained with just that bit more density on the mid palate than the other wines. Fine texture and tannins with drive on the finish. Elegance and balance combined.* - 04/2022

Vinous.com – 93 pts – AG: *The 2021 La Fleur-Pétrus is a regal, elegant wine. Rich and sumptuous, yet classically medium in body, the 2021 is impeccably balanced from start to finish. A rush of red/purplish fruit, rose petal, mint, blood orange and cinnamon build into the exquisite, layered finish. The 2021 reinforces my view that La Fleur-Pétrus is the wine to focus on in the Moueix range. Hosanna and, especially Trotanoy, are more famous, to be sure, but in 2021 those wines are heavily shaped by the growing conditions of the year, while La Fleur-Pétrus is simply La Fleur-Pétrus. Classic Pomerol as far as I am concerned.* - 12/2023

Vinous.com – 90 pts – NM: *The 2021 La Fleur-Pétrus left me a little perplexed from barrel—a potential "slipped catch" during a recent purple patch. The nose does little at the moment, missing a bit of vigor and revealing only touches of singed leather; maybe it’s even a bit farmyardy. The palate is better, with a smooth texture and fine tannins. Cohesive with licorice and hints of blue fruit, it seems determined to compensate for the aromatics and at least leave on a positive note. I'm still not convinced that it is a top tier La Fleur-Pétrus as it lacks length, but it will do.* - 11/2023

Still, there is a lot to love here with its regal airs, silky-tannins, and lush, supple, polished, vibrant, creamy-textured finish. This is really quite strong, especially when you consider the difficulties in the vintage. Drink from 2025-2050.* - 03/2024
